Suitable for which type of housing?

House

Townhome

Like most husky type breeds, Beauty can be vocal at times but not excessively. So townhome could be ok with tolerant neighbors.

Is your dog good with other dogs?
Yes

Beauty is indifferent to other dogs and has met other dogs on walks and off leash. As long as the other dog is respectful to her, doesn't try to mount her or doesn't behave too excited directly in her space, she is ok with other dogs.

Is your dog good with cats?
Untested

She has shown mild prey interest in small critters

Is your dog good with kids?
Untested

Possibly with older, dog savvy kids. Beauty prefers calm or low energy vibe. Children would need to be supervised and properly introduced. She is not recommended for a busy house with young toddlers.

Is your dog house trained?
Yes

Is your dog crate trained?
In Progress

Beauty is not a fan of being crated and will vocalise. She would much rather be loose in the house with her people.

Does your dog have any special needs?

Beauty is currently lodged at a boarding kennel where she is well looked after. However, a kennel setting is loud and busy, and she is restricted to scheduled out door time. As such, she is currently on a low dose medication to ease anxiety. It is expected that once she is in a home setting, she will be able to manage without it.

Does your dog display any aggression (toys, food, people)?
As previously stated, Beauty prefers a chill, relaxed, low energy setting. She is not overtly aggressive to other dogs. In fact, given the choice, she will ignore other dogs completely. But she does not appreciate in your face, exuberant behaviour and she will posture (stiff stance, stare and possibly growl) to voice her displeasure. Beauty loves adults, especially females. She has on rare occasions shown caution towards men. She is not recommended for young kids under 10 due to her desire for calm surroundings.

Is your dog playful?
Beauty is a low energy dog. She likes a bone and to go for a walk. She likes to wade around in the water and leisurely explore.

Does your dog like to snuggle?
Absolutely! Beauty is all about love and attention. She will lean in for a rub, likes to be brushed and scratched and is always happy to see you!

Does your dog know basic commands? (e.g., Sit, Stay)
Sit.

Does your dog know any special tricks?
No

Does your dog like to go on walks?
100%. And, surprisingly for a husky type, she does not pull. She enjoys exploring and stopping to take in the sights.

Does your dog have any fears?
Beauty can on occasion be cautious around men. But with calm, slow introductions, she warms up quickly.

Does your dog have any unique traits (personality or physical)?
Beauty seems to be a bit of a girl's girl. She likes romantic strolls through the park, to be pampered and adored.

What are the first three words that come to mind when you think of your dog?
Sweet, chill and big hearted.

Beauty came into rescue as a pregnant momma. Her pups have all been adopted and she is ready for some R and R. She loves affection and attention. She would do best in a quiet home where she can be the center of attention. She will give her lucky owner 100% of her heart.
